Meeting Needs, Changing Lives
Your gift to First United Methodist Church will help us to continue to change
lives for the better, in our church, in our community, and in our world. As
we work to share the love of our Lord with others, your pledges and your gifts
make a difference in the lives we touch.
Why Pledge?
Your pledge helps us to prepare our budget for the coming year. It allows us
to know realistically how much ministry we can plan for the coming year. Your
gifts provide for all of our ministries... ministries that change lives.
How do I pledge?
Pledge Commitments Cards are available at the church office. The Financial Commitment
Card will be the statement of your pledge for the coming year. You may give weekly,
monthly, quarterly or even yearly.
What is the right amount to give?
It is important to remember that we are only stewards of everything that we have.
As you prayerfully consider your pledge amount,
God will direct your decision.
Special Offerings
Churchwide Special Sundays with offerings enable United Methodists to offer
refuge in times of disaster, promote peace and justice, provide scholarships
and student loans, reach out to the community, teach skills to encourage self-sufficiency
and share the love of Jesus Christ with God's people everywhere.
Six times throughout the year, United Methodist congregations celebrate Churchwide
Special Sundays with offerings. Your support is critical to the survival of
these important ministries and for sharing God's gifts around the world.
