FUMC YOUTH SIERRA SERVICE PROJECT UPDATES

Wednesday, February 22: SSP Fundraiser - Soup Supper before the Ash Wednesday worship

This year, 12 senior high youth will travel to the McDermitt reservation in Nevada to do home repair through the Sierra Service Project, July 14-21. Three junior high youth will also participate in Sierra Service Project at the Coarsegold site, just outside Yosemite, July 8-14.

Youth pay $360 each for camper fees and approximately $50 each for transportation costs. Fundraisers help offset these costs for families and provide the congregation with a way to be a part of these mission trips.

The SSP teams thank you for purchasing the cross pendants made of carpenter’s nails during Christmas. The nails are still available in the office and they make great gifts. We will also be doing a potato bar after worship on February 5 and a soup supper before the Ash Wednesday worship on February 22. Your generous participation in these events is greatly appreciated.
