A Guide for First Time Visitors
Where are you located?

There are five entrances to the worship center/sanctuary:
- two accessible entrances are on the south entrance, along with restrooms;
- two entrances with steps are on the north side on Oak Street.
- one entrance with steps is on the east side on Church Street, near the northeast corner of the building.
When are services?
Worship is at 9:30 a.m.
How should I dress?
We want you to feel comfortable. You will see people wearing summer shorts and sandals; casual dress; and an occasional tie! God is more concerned with you than your clothing, and so are we.
Where should I park?
Street Parking is available on Oak and Church Streets. There are three handicap parking places in the alley off Church Street between First Church and St. Anne’s Catholic Church. Drive into the alley and pass the Fellowship Hall. The spaces are in a small parking lot on the right.
A public parking lot is located on the northeast corner of Church and Oak Streets.
What do you offer for children?
We welcome children in worship in our intergenerational community! About 15 minutes into the service, the Word for Young Disciples is a message designed with children in mind. Then children and youth are escorted to Sunday School classrooms by the teachers. Loving nursery care is available for infants and toddlers. An usher can show you the way. More information about our children’s ministry is found here.
Can I take Communion?
Yes, Christ’s communion table is open to all. Holy Communion is offered on the first Sunday of the month.
I have hearing and vision problems. Is there any help for me?
Hearing assisted listening devices are available from the ushers. The sanctuary is equipped with a hearing loop. Large print worship guides are available from the ushers.
Will I be asked to give money?
Although we collect an offering every Sunday, participation is optional. Should you wish to give, offering envelopes are in the seat racks.
How can I arrange to talk with a church leader or staff member about the church?
Inside the worship guide, the announcement page has a tear-off “Friendship and Communication Slip.” You may mark your desire for a staff member to contact you and place it in the offering plate during worship. Be sure to include your name and contact info!
Following worship, we hope you will come to Friendship Time in the Fellowship Hall. In addition to cookies and beverages, you will find many people to meet, including several staff members.
