Adult Spiritual Formation
Fellowship and Service Groups
Meridians is primarily a fellowship group for seniors, but is open to anyone who would like to participate in any of the planned activities.
The group generally meets on the fourth Saturday of each month.
A variety of activities are planned, including potlucks with games or videos; trips to the Sierra Repertory Theatre; dinner at local restaurants such as Pietro’s, Habanero Hots, and Shi Ra Soni; soup and pie night; and bus trips to places such as Angel Island and Filoli Gardens.
For more information about Meridians, please contact the church office.
The evening book club meets on the last Monday of each month at 7:00 pm. Each month we meet in the home of one of the members. The first meeting in August is to plan the book list for the year. One book is chosen for each month, August through May, excepting December.
The next meeting of the Evening Book Club is Nov. 27, 2017, hosted by Pat and Judy.
The Afternoon Book Club meets on the fourth Monday of most months at 1:00 p.m. in the Fireside Room. Each month we read a book and discuss the content at our meeting.
The next regular meeting of the Afternoon group will be Monday, November 27 at 1:00 p.m. in the Fireside Room.
The Gift of Love Knitters group makes sweaters, hats, and scarves for needy children.
The group meets four times a year for lunch: March, June, September, and December. Donated yarn is available for making clothing. Since the group began in February 1998, over 2,200 sweaters have been donated to children through World Vision and St. Mary’s Dining Hall in Stockton.
Anyone who likes to knit is welcome to join the group. Grab your needles and join us! Please contact the church office if interested.
